Bolin R9 Elevates the Il·lustre Col·legi de l’Advocacia de Barcelona’s Auditorium at Palauet Casades
The Il·lustre Col·legi de l’Advocacia de Barcelona (ICAB) — known internationally as the Barcelona Bar Association — has modernized the Auditorium inside its historic headquarters, the Palauet Casades. Working with Spanish AV distributor Ambient Media & Communication, ICAB replaced outdated equipment with two Bolin R9-230NX PTZ cameras, delivering sharper visuals and more reliable broadcasts for the Association’s most important events in Barcelona.
A Venue with a Legacy
Since 1950, ICAB’s 280 m² Assembly Hall has hosted conferences, seminars, and key institutional gatherings. This 300-seat space, set within the distinguished Palauet Casades, has long been a focal point for Barcelona’s legal community, blending historic architecture with the demands of modern institutional life.
The Challenge
According to Xavier Duch, IT Director of ICAB, the decision came from a need to “significantly improve image quality and operational efficiency in the broadcast of our institutional events.”
The camera positions in the hall are more than 25 meters from the main stage, requiring advanced optical capabilities. “Furthermore, at events where dim ambient lighting or focused lighting on the stage is used, previous cameras failed to offer adequate performance, especially regarding autofocus and image definition,” Duch explained.
